i'm Saara,

a Finnish photographer and filmmaker based in Italy and Helsinki.

i live in Tolfa, in Central Italy, a small village i settled in after a few years of travels and Italian Language studies at Helsinki University.

i specialize in destination weddings in Italy; capturing love stories and celebrations on photo, film and video. i come to weddings with a strong background of my own artistic work, corporate photoshoots, art directing in a video advertisement company and independent filmmaking. i grew up in Switzerland and have always spoken more than two languages in my daily life so i feel very much at home in a multilinguistic, international setting like destination weddings often are.   

i'm most drawn towards authencity and anything that's a little bit outside of the box. i'm a people's people and love to share a laugh with a stranger or a wedding guest. i've lived a bit here and there throughout my life. when you've seen lots of different kinds of lives, there is little judgement left; i've been welcomed with open arms by so incredibly many that i simply can't hold a cynic heart. in my work i value artistic ambition and creating real trust and genuine relationships + unforgettable memories with my clients and collaborators.
