Saara Vuola is a Finnish director and photographer based between Rome and Helsinki.
She documents real-life moments; challenging documentary photography, documentary filmmaking and wedding photography traditions with an intimate gaze and textured voice. She creates worlds rich in naturality and storytelling – be it through the medium of photography, filmmaking, writing or a ceramics object.
In filmmaking, Saara is most known for 'honeybutter', a poetry film written by IFTA-nominated Irish actress Eleanor O'Brien.
