hi! 

i'm Saara, Finnish photographer and filmmaker based between a small village in Central Italy and Helsinki. i grew up in Switzerland and Finland, studied Italian linguistics and culture studies at Helsinki University and have now found home in Italy, spending most of my year here and parts in Helsinki, where my family lives and i own ceramics studio Studio Savilla. 

i laugh a lot, like meeting new people and love gardens and driving through hilly views. i'm most drawn towards authencity and anything natural and that's a little bit outside of the box.

i've documented weddings for over 5 years now and i truly love them, for the opportunity to make art and something very intimately meaningful for a couple. 
in all my work i value artistic ambition and creating genuine relationships and unforgettable memories with my clients and collaborators. i want to tell stories that celebrate life in all its tenderness, fun and surprises; capturing people in their natural beauty, aiming for them to see through my work how special their life is.
